After performing in bands around the Twin Cities (most notably The Key Kids), Madelyn Hartke set out to discover what she could make by herself. This solo analog recording project became TINY BOUQUET.

With warm tones from borrowed guitars, McCartney-esque viola bass, and ‘dead’ 1970’s drums, Hartke creates melodic pop songs as heard through a vintage lens. These songs (to be released in 2025 as the Tracer EP) are expressive with no attitude; the way it feels to lean back in the driver’s seat when no one else is around. Hartke wrote, performed, and recorded each element of these songs using a Tascam 388 tape machine. Her understated perspective on songwriting comes together with her deep passion for classic pop and rock & roll to create emotionally unencumbered, authentic music for song-lovers old and new.

Hartke’s work has been recognized with awards such as the Individual Artist Grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (2022).
